Albania Recieves EU Candidate Status

Kurum, grenade kills the worker

A grenade blast in a scrap heap within the premises of the company "Kurum" in Elbasan killed a 35-year-old.

Serious event occurred in downstream processing of scrap and the victim is 35-year-old George Boduri, employees at this company.

Boduri, manovrator has been tasked with taking iron material with crane vehicle when the latter caused the explosion of the grenade.

35-year-old man who died as an immediate result of their injuries, while the presence of the family had to identify the body at the morgue of Elbasan.

The investigative group who arrived on the scene working to fully bring the cause of the explosion that killed 35-year-old employee of "Kurum".

Although the place is defined not only as scrap collection area, near the company "Kurum", but also the place for his thorough control, there have been few incidents that have occurred as a result of lack of control of metallic materials.

Meanwhile police are investigating the presence of other explosive materials in the scrap garbage collecting points, and if the employee was insured.
