Albania Recieves EU Candidate Status

Greece Threatens Albanian Immigrants
Decisions of Greek, whose side were asked to bring certificates or passports with the correct naming of Greek toponyms to update documents or permit their children to stay , Albanian immigrants living and working in the city of Thessaloniki requested by the Albanian authorities to provide solutions to this problem so vital for them that started about two years ago .



Gathered in one of the halls of the prefecture of Thessaloniki initiative of representatives of some political forces in emigration , tens countrymen have emphasized once again that no solution of this problem will destroy all their hard work and effort in two decades in the state of Greece . For months the Greek authorities deny hundreds of immigrant children born in Greece over the border due to topographical native in their passports that are in Albanian and not the international . Finally problem for renewal of residence permits have encountered because of the children and their parents , you can not renew in some cases their health cards .

 Immigrants are expressed that despite promises not see concrete steps to solve the problem , while periods of time that was available to give the Greek authorities are short and they are forced to lead these issues in court and spending money.
Also asked that official Tirana aim as it did with Belgium , the signing of the recognition of years of work in Albania in Greece for the immigrants.In the end of the meeting all participants have signed a petition to the Albanian Foreign Ministry and to know even the Prime Minister Edi Rama , by which require urgent acceleration of procedures so that we topographical denominations of certificates and passports to be children as defined in the relevant international agreements .
