12 Police Officers Injured in Vlora

A police convoy was involved in an accident Thursday night, as it was traveling in the direction of Vlora.

The event took place on Highway Levan - Vlora, near the village Novosel, and as a result of the crash 12 people were injured, two of them are risking their lives.

Convoy consisted of four large vehicles, vans type, accompanied by a white police SUV, at its end. As a result of a deviation of one of the vans, caused the entire convoy group to crash..

Major damage suffered the three vehicles and the SUV.

Hospital Director of Vlora, Remzi Haxhiu, said nine of the injured have no serious problems except some minor damage to the skin, as a result of broken glass, while two of them will be sent to the Military Hospital, after heavy tremors in the head and the thorax.

Police is working to resolve the dynamics of the accident and the cause of the deviation of the vehicle.

Convoy was a part of a team from the capital to launch in Vlora, for conducting an inspection. At the regional hospital went, except of Vlora police leaders, the deputy chief of general detention and prison.
